Harbhajan Singh was born on 30 August 1946 in Sadrana village of Punjab (present day Pakistan). In 1966, he was recruited as a soldier in the Punjab Regiment of the Indian Army. It is a matter of October 4, 1968, when while carrying a convoy of mules, his foot slipped near Nathula pass and he died after falling into the valley.
